Chattanooga sent three racers and at least one worker to Roebling Road Raceway in Savannah for the Jim Stark Memorial on the weekend of April 26 and 27. This was a double SARRC weekend with one race on each day.
First out on Saturday was Rusty White in his twin turbo Rx-7. Unfortunately, the same turbo gremlins, or at least some of their cousins, came back to haunt him again. After about a half lap in practice the turbo lost boost. Rusty brought the car in and was unable to complete the weekend beyond that point. Next out was Michael Cartwright, driving a BMW in the ITS class. He finished 10th in an 11 car field on Saturday, but didn't run the Sunday race. |

Bill Perry continued his Steward In Training this weekend as a race official. All told, the weekend provided good, clean racing in most groups. The only down side was that the long delays between races caused the schedule to drag out. -- Compiled by Art Thompson form various sources
