Three drivers have already sealed their wins of KWIK KOOL Shirts in the KWIK KOOL Shirts GTA Autocross Series. Seven other KWIK KOOL Shirts are still up for grabs and will be decided this Sunday at the final KK-GTA event held in Warner Robins, hosted by the Middle Georgia Region of SCCA. Brett Howell, Kennesaw, Georgia, who drives a DSP Honda has attended all KK-GTA events and leads DSP points as well to clinch the Street Prepared shirt. Clint McMahan, Covington, Georgia, also has attended all KK-GTA events and leads in the FM class quaranteeing the win of the coveted KWIK KOOL Shirt for Modified. Jeanne Darrow, Byron, Georgia, has only missed one event in her BSL Miata to take the Ladies KWIK KOOL Shirt.
The Stock and Prepared awards will be decided at Warner Robins this Sunday. Michael Coon, Alabama, and Tom Simon, Kennesaw, Georgia have both run all 7 events, so far. However, Coon has 20 more class points. The only way Coon could lose would be if he doesn't enter, Sunday, and Simon does.
The Prepared group is tied up in a dead heat. Dick Berger, Douglasville, Georgia (CP) and Rick Tinsley, Kennesaw, Georgia (EP) have both attended 4 events and have both won all 4 to be tied with a total of 83 points, each.
The other 5 shirts will be awarded in a drawing at the event in Warner Robins, Sunday, October 25th. Each entrant will have one ticket in the drawing for every event they entered. Therefore the odds favor high attenders.
We need shirt sizes on the winners. Shirt sizes should be 1 size smaller than you usually wear for a snug fit.
See you Sunday,
Ben Thatcher
