Jacksonville Solo II Divisional

Rescheduled

To All Competitors,

The 1997 BFGoodrich Team T/A - SEDIV SOLO II Divisional Championship Series event schedule for this weekend, June 28-29, at Whitehouse Airfield in Jacksonville, Florida has been postponed. THERE WILL NOT BE A S.E. Divisional SOLO II event this weekend.

The military, in this case Marines, are going to be practicing their landing/crashing at the Jacksonville Whitehouse Airfield site. We are not allowed to watch. I appreciate that they told us a week in advance, instead of locking the gate when we got there on Friday.

Buccaneer Region's Mike Phillips and Mike King scrambled all weekend to try to find an alternative site for the Divisional, but were unable to come up with a suitable site on such short notice. Event #2 of the 1997 BFGoodrich Team T/A - SEDIV SOLO II Divisional Championship Series has been rescheduled for Whitehouse Airfield for July 19th and 20th. The region is also going to try to secure an alternate civilian site (read the Jaguar's Stadium Parking Lot). The third event is still scheduled for the Chattanooga Auto Auction on the weekend of August 9th - 10th.

I have contacted and/or left messages for everyone who had pre-registered for the Jacksonville event, that the event has been postponed. There were over 80 pre-registered for the event, a new pre-registration record. It had the makings to be the best attended S.E. Divisional in recent history.

Within a week, the information for the rescheduled July 19th and 20th event will been finalized and a flyer will be mailed.
